White Tiger
White Tiger (2012), a WWII tank movie with a supernatural element, is adapted from the novel The Tank Crewman and was selected as the Russian entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist."

Summary: a Russian tanker hunts an unstoppable German Tiger tank that is solid white and moves supernaturally like a ghost. There are suggestions that the White Tiger is crewed by dead men, or that it has no crew and is a manifestation of war reminiscent of Fritz Leiber's "The Automatic Pistol". Seriously, it's a WWII ghost tank movie. Solid action scenes.

(My alternate non-supernatural RPG explanation is that the White Tiger is a Castle-Wolfenstein-meets-Terminator time-traveling Laumer BOLO / Ogre cybertank.)

Nice touch with the subtitles: scenes of Russians interviewing Germans have only the Russian translated into English.

There's precedent!

I'll just leave this here: Haunted Tank.

Re: There's precedent!

There's always precedent somewhere. :) Thanks, I don't remember that feature at all. For all _I_ know, the author of the Russian novel The Tank Crewman (that White Tiger is adapted from) is or was a fan of old American war comic books.
