the bog is frozen
bog 26jan2013

The bog froze over last night in the cold snap and sleet/falling snow and this morning's threat of frozen fog [1]. I regret the missed opportunity to do a diorama of Dante's Ninth Circle of Hell. I could have thrown the extra mannequins in before it froze over. Or at least some action figures. Something.

The area is warming rapidly and roads should be fine in a couple of hours.

[1] "Frozen fog" sounds like something from a horror movie to me.

Hello. What a wonderfull sight =)

It's interesting how winter differs in faraway corners of our planet. I'm from Siberia and there are deep snowdrifts and ice everywhere. While you have a green grass and autumn leaves)

and I remember that episode about Cocytus from The Divine Comedy.. Yes, the picture lacks some figures of sinners and Lucifer)

It was near 70 degrees Fahrenheit today. Tomorrow we have possible snow flurries, although no accumulation. But flakes in the air the day after 70 degrees here: yes, odd :). A friend in the northeast US had 0 Fahrenheit as his high the day before yesterday.

I should think about a giant Lucifer sculpture for the bog. And then probably not do it.
