Jim Lehrer: "I'm not going to say...I've done a poor job..." It's ok, I'll say it for you.

Seriously.

Honestly, thought it was a pretty boring debate. Romney may have 'won' by appearing more aggressive, but I don't think either side particularly distinguished themselves. Romney talked too fast, Obama talked too long, the moderator...well, he definitely lost.

Mind you, I'm still miffed about Big Bird.

I agree with I don't think either side particularly distinguished themselves. Minor specific notes: I thought Romney warmed up a little over the course of the debate, while at the same time I thought Obama started to lose a little focus or energy and became a bit more hesitant near the end. Overall, boring, and not a good use of my time.

I spent most of the debate getting cranky at the moderator: I really wanted the moderator to CUT THE MIC when time was up.

I think the soundbite of Romney about Big Bird is going to hurt him a little.

I consider Internet memeage as at best a very weak correlation to offline behavior, but true.
