So this isn't much of a lullaby as it's bouncy and uptempo. Hope you like it anyway.
Last week Bull City Records
in Durham had a half-off CDs sale because they're moving to a new location in Durham, one with airconditioning in the summer and heating in the winter and not a second-floor walkup...but I digress. While sorting through the CDs to bring home I spotted the Pipettes' debut album We Are The Pipettes and I had a flashback to the Phonogram graphic novel , one of my favorite works of comics ever and one of the few that I've gone on about for even a few paragraphs . But I've never heard this band's music although I'm at least passingly familiar with many of the albums and songs referenced throughout the comic. So the album is a lot of fun to listen to. Thanks.
Minor amusement from reading and not hearing the band name: I thought "Pipettes" was a reference to the medical or laboratory glassware and pronounced "PIPE-ettes" where the band pronounces their name as "PIP-ets". Makes sense, just not the way I'd sounded it when I read it.
ADDED: Ohmyfreakingah, they just toured the US and I missed it
