reconstruction and reshelving complete
Fallen shelves rebuilt and reloaded: minor damage to a few items, only one slipcase seriously damaged and that's not a terribly rare or valuable or sentimental one.
One silkscreen film print was slightly creased when the left bookcase dropped the entire top shelf and contents on it from across the room, but if I have that print framed it should be unnoticeable. Crushed shelf unit in foreground.

Ugh. I have a shelf like the one that was crushed. One of the shelves is bent and collapse is imman... wait... I have scrap iron and a welder! If it can last until next weekend, I can save it!

It had to make an awful noise! I had multiple shelves of clothing come undone suddenly in a similar cascade; but not a noise was heard. the silent apocalypse.

The crushed one was crushed by the other two: it wasn't holding anything.
