Science Fiction Double Feature
Back from the midnight performance of Rocky Horror Show at Raleigh Little Theatre. The show had me from the opening when a primly dressed and uniformed Magenta sang Science Fiction Double Feature against a backdrop screen montage of all the films mentioned in the song, and flash-cut montages of almost every movie in the entire GURPS Atomic Horror bibliography.

Everyone was great. Riff-Raff was very Iggy Pop-looking, which works for me. Janet was amazing and Frank N. Furter was wonderful. Magenta's look in this reminded me of the Invisibles' Ragged Robin, but the Invisibles are on my mind recently (more in another post).

Props to Wayne Leechford on sax in the orchestra, he did a great Eddie sax solo.

I think my brother is playing in that orchestra, too (at least, that's what mom said). :) Sounds like it was a fun show!

He is in the orchestra for this show: Merrie spotted his name in the credits and I noticed him on the way out. Was a fun show.

Right after I posted this response, my brother called to ask if we wanted tickets for when we're in town during Labor Day week. :)

Speaking of being back in town, and I apologize for not looking at your calendar yet - are you playing somewhere for First Friday?

We had a lot of fun at the show, and no, I have no performances scheduled.
